LOGISTICS PLANNER
Our client, a mid size trucking company with annual sales of $300MM is looking for a Logistics Planner to be located in their corporate office in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Contact Food Wholesaler Warehouses and schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
Work with the Traffic department and Sales team on a daily basis.
Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to update product transfers and adjustments to inventory.
Work with the sales team and Inventory Manager to update inventory records.
Build Loads and perform data entry.
Communicate through email in a professional timely manner.
Assist the Operations Manager with faxing & emailing drivers their paperwork at the end of the day.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Traffic Manager & Inventory Manager.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 5
years experience in the transportation/logistics industry. Experience in the food chain industry is a big plus, but not required.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and get involved with all aspects of the Traffic/Inventory department.
Must have a high energy personality, and must be detail oriented with strong follow-up skills. Must possess excellent people and communication skills, and show urgency in your work ethic.
Must be proficient in MS Outlook and Office; must be able to adapt and learn our Warehousing/Inventory software.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
